I have been without a kitchen for over two years since this remodel got stuck in city bureaucracy. With only a toaster oven, hot plate and a 10x10 sink, this is big deal for someone that loves to cook. I have always loved my bbq, especially with an abundant garden and local sourced meats, but I didn't realize how much I would miss my oven. I remembered a visit to my BF in Portland and she baked bread in her cast iron pan (in her oven). Why couldn't I do the same in my bbq? SUCCESS.
Ken Forkish's book Flour Water Salt Yeast is a great source for sure-proof bread recipes. I have over a dozen bread cookbooks, but I've had the best results with every recipe tried. It makes a great gift!
